About Marion Housing Authority

As stewards of public funds and trust, The Marion Housing Authority, will provide safe, decent, affordable housing opportunities through public and private partnerships while treating all customers with respect.

Public Housing has 100 single family units, 2bdr. To 5bdr. scattered on 4 different sites. There is an income limit to qualify and rent is based upon income with tenant paying no more than a ceiling rent.

Elderly Housing has 268 one bedroom Apartments and is for the elderly and/or disabled. There is an income limit to qualify and rent is based upon income with tenant paying no more than a ceiling rent.

When money is available, applicants that qualify receive a voucher which they use to rent from private landlords. The applicant will pay rent based upon their income and the voucher will pay the balance directly to the landlord. Applicants must be under the income limit to qualify.
